Video 90": Wat ass dat Geräisch?
👤 Who can participate?
You can participate if you:
- are between 12 and 25 years old,
- live in Luxembourg.
❌ You cannot participate if you:
- already have a degree in the audiovisual field, or
- already work in the audiovisual industry.
💡 You may receive support from people working in the social or educational sector.
🏆 If you have already won 1st prize in this category, you cannot enter this category again.
🎥 Your Challenge
Create a short video that surprises people!
Your video must:
- include this sound: Sound Crème Fraîche 16 Edition
- follow the theme: "What is that sound?"
- make the sound an important part of the story—it should not simply be used as background audio.

📏 Video Requirements
- Your video must be no longer than 90 seconds.
- Credits count toward the 90-second limit.
- Only use content (music, images, videos, etc.) for which you have the necessary rights.
❌ Videos that:
- glorify violence,
- promote hatred or intolerance, or
- contain pornographic content,
will be disqualified from the competition.
⛔ After the submission deadline, videos cannot be withdrawn or modified.
🎞️ How does the selection process work?
From all submitted entries, 20 to 25 videos will be selected.
These videos will be screened at the Crème Fraîche Event.
🏆 How are the winners chosen?
The audience decides!
During the event, audience members will vote to select the three best videos.

Your story can be about anything you want, but there is one special challenge:

📋 What must your screenplay include?
✅ Maximum 4 pages
✅ Maximum 1 filming location
(The entire story must take place in a single location.)
✅ Maximum 2 characters
✅ A specific sound must be central to the story
(The sound should play an important role and not just be background noise.)

An independent jury will decide.
The jury consists of:
- up to 5 young people
They will evaluate all submitted screenplays and select the 3 winners.

📝 Your Challenge
Write your own screenplay!
The theme is completely open. Whether it's drama, comedy, crime, sci-fi, or action—the choice is yours. Tell the story you want to tell.
📋 What must your screenplay include?
✅ Maximum 9 pages
✅ The screenplay may be written in:
- Luxembourgish
- German
- French
- English
✅ Maximum 3 actors/characters
📄 What must appear on the cover page?

🎬 How are the winners chosen?
An independent jury will decide.
The jury consists of:
- 3 young people
- 3 professionals from the film industry
They will evaluate all submitted screenplays and select the 3 winners.
🏆 What can you win?
The best screenplay will be professionally produced as a film by the Centre national de l'audiovisuel (CNA) and the Service national de la jeunesse (SNJ).
🎥 This means:
- Your screenplay will be turned into a real film.
- The organisers will decide who directs the film.
- If necessary, the screenplay may be adapted for production.
📣 The winners will be announced at the Crème Fraîche Event.
📜 What happens to the winning screenplay?
If your screenplay wins first prize, the rights for the professional film adaptation will be transferred to the organisers.
This allows them to:
- produce the film,
- adapt the story if needed,
- publish it,
- screen it,
- and distribute it.
✍️ However, your moral rights remain protected. This means:
- You will always be credited as the author.
- Your work may not be altered in a disrespectful or degrading manner.
This rule applies only to the professional film adaptation and/or the cultural or educational distribution of the film.
